An Irish slip jig (9/8) made famous by the Bothy Band many years ago. It has become part of the tradition, but is often attributed to Tommy Potts. I’ve played this tune on whistle many times , often with illustrious colleagues (Manfred Leuchter, Tim Sparks, Jens Kommnick, Peter Finger…) but always wanted to do a solo guitar guitar version, and here it finally is! It lends itself to a jazz-waltz feel, which I’ve emphasised in my arrangement. Enjoy!
