Description
James Scott Skinner (1843 – 1927) was, among other things, a fiddler and composer. He is regarded as one of the most influential fiddlers in Scottish traditional music, and was nicknamed “the Strathspey King“. In 2001 I made an album of Scottish fiddles tunes, „A Scottish Legacy“ (Acoustic Music Records), which inevitably featured a few tunes by Scott Skinner, and my favourite is this one: „The Music o’ Spey“. I hope you enjoy it!
There is a complete book of the tunes on “A Scottish Legacy“, which can be purchased from Acoustic Music Books
The CD can be purchased from Acoustic Music Records
