Description
A traditional Scottish tune from “The Caledonian Pocket Companion”, published by James Oswald around 1741. I first heard this piece on the seminal fiddle-guitar album “Return to Kintail” featuring fiddle virtuoso Alasdair Fraser & mighty and incredible colleague Tony McManus on guitar. I have now finally got around to doing my own version. I have consciously omitted the 4-bars variation which is the B-part, because i felt the main melody is very strong in itself and has a certain hypnotic quality when repeated in simple variation (i apologise up-front to the traditionalists!).
Roslin Castle for acoustic fingerstyle guitar in both Guitar Tab and Score format. To Download.
