Dawn over Kühlungsborn – solo fingerstyle guitar
I was lucky enough to be invited to live in Kühlungsborn as an „artist in residence“ for a few months, which was a great experience. I grew up not far the sea and maybe that’s why I have a particular affinity to oceans, horizons and sea breezes. It was a particular pleasure to get up early every morning and walk out onto the beach, watching the light gradually grow and enjoying the sounds and the smell of sea. This composition turned into a rather impressionistic piece – the drowsy pentatonic theme of awakening and well-being, the flurries of notes like the waves beating on the shore, the trees rustling in the breeze, the gulls calling …
